Volume I contains the first part of the Proceedings of the National Conference on „Computer organization and microprogramming which was held on September 24-26, 1975, in Warsaw. The Conference was organized by Computation Centre of the PAS in cooperation with the Institute of Mathematical Machines. The papers collected here bring a survey of recent theoretical and practical achievements in this field in Poland. Some new trends in this area, being developed outside the country are also presented.
